Over the past 39 years, Bale Defence has developed a strong reputation for its innovation in design and manufacture of world-class military equipment used in operations all around the world.
Bale Defence also manufacture and supply a comprehensive range of shipboard equipment. We hold one of Australia's largest inventories of Copper Nickel Pipe & Fittings, all fully certified and sourced only from the most reputable mills around the world.
CNC Machining
Bale Defence are leaders in the application of machine tool technology. Our engineering facility has the latest in CNC manufacturing technologies with a range of 5-Axis and 3-Axis Machining Centres as well as Mill Turns and conventional Lathes.
With this technology Bale Defence continues to maintain the competitive edge in producing new and replacement parts for domestic and international clients.
Design & Engineering
Our team utilise a collaborative approach to take your needs / concepts from the initial idea (drawing board), to concept design, to prototype / demonstration, to full production runs and then delivery / installation. We can also provide through-life sustainment and disposal.
Fabrication
Our fabrication team comprise first class sheet metal workers, boilermakers, fabricators and apprentices. We utilise state of the art welding equipment across Mig, Tig and Arc techniques; have on site metal guillotine and hydraulic press and folding machines.
Our fabrication team work seamlessly with our design team and the other workshops to ensure that our final product meets or exceeds your expectations.
Navy Repairs
Our Repair and Overhaul facility is able to conduct comprehensive tear-down, survey and reporting to provide you with the most accurate quotation for your component or assembly.
Upon approval, our team can then conduct the complete overhaul and restoration of your equipment including initial run-in / testing.
Technical Writing & Training
Bale Defence Technical Writers have a background in complex technical documentation design, development and management of an electronic library; version control and archiving.
Bale Defence training staff possesses current, nationally recognised qualifications in the analysis, design, development, delivery and supervision of training.
