Permits door opening with minimum opening pressure.

Distinctly different from butt hinged or pivot hinged doors.

Does not require assistance of automatic or power assist operating.

In opening mode, 2/3 of the door swings outward and 1/3 swing inwards.

Traverse in an elliptical arc rather than a circular path.

Currently in use with the US Navy and Australian Navy.

Spare parts are readily available.
